A penny for your thoughts...:)

Serendipitous is the correct word to describe meeting one AMAZING woman on a shuttle bus from the airport. As I shuffle my way into a seat I instantly notice she is draped in beautiful unique pieces of jewelry designed with a penny. Come to find out Laurie has started a non profit called "Project Penny Lane and a for profit called "Studio Penny Lane" with her unique designs. The inspiration behind her project will melt and warm your heart all at the same time.

For Laurie's story behind Project Penny Lane & Studio Penny Lane go to:
www.projectpennylane.org and www.studiopennylane.org

"The penny reminds us that life's full of surprises and good things happen all the time.

Every time I see a penny I will feel hopeful..I will also think of Penny Lane.

French toilet paper artist!

This has to be the most creative way to recycle a toilet paper roll! French artist Anastassia Elias has an eye for detail and design. With a little help from tweezers and scissors she creates quite the masterpiece all out of paper!

Treasures make me tingle!!

Today I went on a little treasure hunt. Came home with lots of pretty baubles! Went to an amazing Estate Sale and found 3 vintage gold necklaces with lots of pearls and beads, a fabulous pair of white crochet gloves and a spool of hot pink yarn! I remember as a kid my mom would tie little bows in my pigtails with this. :) Brings back memories..

Everything cost under $15!

It's true..treasures do make me tingle!

Happy Friday!

Eat your heart out Liberace!!

It is no secret that I have a weak spot for anything SHINY and SPARKLY, especially when it comes to GLITZY shoes! After window shopping and gasping at the price tag on all these glitzy shoes, I decided to make my own. :) There are many tutorials online but I will give you a quick and easy version.

You will need:
~pair of shoes
~Mod Podge
~plastic bowl/paint brush
~fine glitter(definitely works best!)

It's quite simple, just put your glitter in a bowl then add Mod Podge!

I spent a total of $10!! This is such a FUN Summer project. Find a pair of old shoes in your closet and bring them back to life!!

Sparkles make me :)
